About the Youth Conlang Society

The Youth Conlang Society was founded to create a welcoming home for young people interested in linguistics, conlanging, worldbuilding, history, cultures, writing systems, and creative exploration.

Although many communities exist for these interests, there are very few designed specifically for students. YCS aims to change that.

Our community has founders, teams with enthusiastic and passionate members, and a growing membership of curious students from across the globe.

What we share is a belief that all of our ideas matter, and that the students scribbling away in their notebooks, typing on a Google Doc, inventing languages, and creating worlds deserve the same seriousness and community as any academic field.
